Female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Sydney
The process of choosing the best obstetrician can be a daunting for some women. Many women get recommendations from their GPs, friends and families. While that is okay, your ideal birth experience may be different from their birth experience and journey.
Ultimately, it’s important you choose an obstetrician that is right for you. You should be confident and comfortable with your obstetrician.
Adeline and Ambreen are leading female obstetrician and gynaecologist in Sydney. We are committed to providing the best antenatal care, providing a comfortable and safe birth environment for you and your baby.
Adeline and Ambreen are supportive and caring female obstetricians, focusing on evidence-based care so you can make the best-informed decision for yourself and your baby.
Choosing Your Obstetrician
You are planning to fall pregnant or are already pregnant and would like to choose a private obstetrician. In private obstetric care, you choose your obstetrician who looks after you from pre-pregnancy to pregnancy and beyond. Your private obstetrician provides continuity of care, seeing you for your antenatal visits and delivering your baby, either vaginally or via caesarean section.
Another consideration is whether you would like a male or female obstetrician. This is a matter of personal preference. For some women, they feel more comfortable having a female obstetrician due to religious or cultural reasons. There’s also an extra personal connection especially if your obstetrician is also a Mum, having gone through the pregnancy journey herself.
Regardless of your choice of a male or female obstetrician, what is more important is that you feel comfortable with your obstetrician. Your obstetrician is there to provide the best possible evidence-based care, expertise and support during your pregnancy.
